Road Course
The 1.8 mile road course at The Milwaukee Mile was newly paved during the 2005 season, with a final polymer-mixed topcoat of rosphault laid down in 2007. Possessing a tricky combination of high speed straightaways, and a decreasing radius hairpin, the track incorporates virtually the whole mile oval and infield section.
The 36-foot wide infield road course offers a variety of car clubs and enthusiasts a dramatic and challenging course. Numerous Club events and outings are just some of the events run on the road course.
A portion of the infield road course - tabbed the “Mini Mile” – is a 3/8th-mile modified oval for the Summer Shootout Series. Legends, Bandoleros, Thunder Roadsters and other small cars compete on this track, which puts a premium on driver ability, shifting multiple times a lap, with speeds reaching 70 mph. This layout includes a hairpin shaped turn and adds a unique challenge for the racers and in-your-face action for the fans.
Options of use include the entire 1.8-mile (infield and oval) or the 0.8-mile (infield course only) track.
